Hollywood is entertained by Ricky Gervais and offended by him as he makes light of one of the greatest tragedies in history, the Holocaust, telling Kate Winslet she picked the right movie for a win. Ricky said,

God, I am so sick of the Politically Correct crowd - just a bunch of bloody puritan wankers. That's funny remark and a reasonable observation. Why could anyone be offended by that? Seems to me, RG used a similar line with Kate Winslett in his excellent TV series Extra's? I think the shock/horror/indignation at his remark is probably more for the benefit of the Jews who run Hollywood.
