Britney Spears Concert Reviews are Bad For Circus Tour

The LA Times says,

“Her singing was dominated by a backing track. Her moves were nothing special, defined by much strutting and stripper-like shimmying, with the minimum amount of acrobatics to prove her mettle as a dance-pop queen.”

MTV says,

“At times, Britney herself is almost dwarfed by the spectacle… She brought the circus to her hometown, and it was a huge, sold-out, screaming success. It probably just would’ve benefited from a little more Britney Spears, that’s all.”

While People magazine gives a scathing, detailed review. Excerpts:

A visibly nervous Spears, performing in front of enthusiastic fans near her Kentwood, La., hometown, never really hit her old stride.

Throughout the show's four sections, there was a lot more strutting than real choreographic feats from Spears. And there was a decided lack of joy in her performance, which felt labored at times.

It didn't help that she hardly engaged the audience, not addressing them at all until after her lone encore, "Womanizer," performed in sexed-up cop uniforms. Given that Spears probably doesn't do much live singing either, it left a definite chill in the air.

When she wrapped the concert about 90 minutes after emerging, she seemed more relieved than anything that it was all over.

I already knew that the whole Circus setup for her concert is way over the top for just about anyone. Her concerts come with vibrant visuals, illusions, Cirque du Soleil-inspired aerialists, an army of dancers and more. It will be hard for Britney to not get lost and overshadowed with such a massive spectacle and entourage. I'm sure she'll improve as the tour rolls on, though.

Kevin Federline Dancing With the Stars

ABC is in talks to get Kevin Federline to join the cast of Dancing with the Stars Season Eight. I'd put that shit on season pass on my TiVo just to see K-Fed work off all that chub. The former back up dancer has notoriously been getting pudgy. Plus he is setting a bad example for his boys. Jayden and Sean need to know they can't live off of mommy's money forever.

Britney Spears Justin Timberlake Yatai Asian Tapas Bar

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake recent run-in was extremely awkward.

Britney Spears ran into ex Justin Timberlake at Yatai Asian Tapas Bar in West Hollywood Monday night. Timberlake was in the middle of a late-night dinner with current girlfriend Jessica Biel when Spears walked through the door with her mom Lynne around 10 p.m.

While “Jessica looked gorgeous,” Spears “didn’t look the best, but she probably thought no one would see her, as this restaurant isn’t usually a hot spot." The witness describes the restaurant as “so small…like the size of a living room,” and the situation as “uncomfortable."

“Jessica and Justin looked to be slumping down in their seats to avoid [Spears]. She left 30 minutes later. Shortly afterward, Justin and Jessica got in their car and left.”

While I realize slumping down is extremely douchey, it's also completely understandable. The slump is a knee jerk reaction when you see someone that you don't want to see out in public. I have also been known to cover my face with my hand. It's extremely pathetic, but necessary. Being that I am a nasty bitch, I piss a lot of people off. I completely empathize with Justin, but not with Jessica Biel. I have no clue what it's like to live my life as a woman while having a penis and scrotum. Not that I think being a pre-op transsexual is bad by any means.

Here are pictures of Britney Spears new $9.1 million mansion in Calabasas, California. Britney Spears is currently renting the 10,000 square foot property.

The gardens will give her young sons more than an acre to run around in as they play in the rose garden and swim in the glass mosaic pool. All the interiors are built from the finest limestone, marble, walnut hardwood parquet and plank flooring, imported European stone mosaics and limestone fireplaces.

The master bedroom includes a separate large designer dressing room including garment, shoe and bag storage. And Britney can prepare for her day in a custom bathroom suite with a dry sauna, steam shower and bath that extends onto a balcony spanning across the rear elevation of the estate. Her cars cans be stored below ground in a garage with two auto lifts.

And if that isn’t enough Britney can spend time in the craft room, mud room, maid’s quarters or three other bedroom suites.

It looks fabulous! I think it's great that she's moving out of her current residence. It's filled with bad memories of douche bags and drama. Britney needs a place where she can just chill. It's also nice because this new place is gated. No more crazy paps coming after her. That will be good for the boys

Britney Spears Sandip Soparrkar Dating

Britney Spears met Sandip Soparrkar at a party thrown by Madonna earlier this year, and Britney Spears flew to India for a three-day vacation with Sandip Soparrkar. Sandip may also fly to L.A. to ring in the New Year with Brit Brit.

Sandip Soparrkar is a Bollywood choreographer who worked on her "Womanizer" video.

Jamie Spears Pay, Raise for Conservatorship

Jamie Spears will be paid $50,ooo in back pay and he was also granted office space that Britney has to pay $1,200 a month for, but that's not all! Britney also has to pay her brother Bryan Spears $200K for services he rendered prior to the time the conservatorship was established. Also, lawyer bills are approaching $1 million.

Papa Spears got a raise and he will now make $16,125 a month instead of $10,000 a month. Jamie Spears went back to court to milk his cash cow claiming that he has done additional work for Britney besides controlling her every move. His duties include planning her upcoming tour.

Kevin Federline People Magazine Cover and Interview

Do you remember when you first met Britney?

I met her at a club in Hollywood, Joseph's. Our eyes met and that was it. We just hit it off right away. I learned real fast how much of a whirlwind the press and everything was.

What are your happiest memories of the marriage?
Well, getting married. I never thought that I would get married but it wound up happening. That was a really, really, happy, exciting moment. I pretty much realized that I was giving my life to her, and I was doing it without question.

What went wrong?
It's hard enough to be in a marriage, and then have a kid, then kids, it changes everything. For me, I'd become more concerned with my children. Not that I ignored Britney, but my kids are always most important ... I mean, we were having complications. I didn't give her an ultimatum, but I was trying to work stuff out with her, and she didn't even talk to me or anything and went behind my back and filed [for divorce]. [I was] completely blindsided.

A lot of people assumed you fought for custody of the kids because of money.
My first question to [my lawyer] was, "Am I ever going to be able to see my children?" I told him that I would spend every last dime that I had to make sure that my children are okay. That's all that mattered. I didn't know how much power Britney had. That really scared me.

How did you react in January when Britney locked herself in the bathroom with Jayden and was later taken to the hospital on a gurney?
That whole night is a blur. You want to talk about one of my lowest points of depression, that was probably one of them. I was very, very worried for her 'cause I care about her. That's the mother of my children. Just because I'm not in love with her doesn't mean that I don't love her. I'm definitely rooting for her. There's nothing more that I want than for her to be in the best health and doing what she loves to do.

Are things getting better?
Oh, man, it's totally turning around. It works out that [the kids] get to see her. There's structure over there, there's structure at my house. We're trying to keep the same type of schedule. It doesn't have to be completely perfect, but the foundation is there.

"Britney: For The Record," averaged 3.7 million viewers. Britney Spears' documentary tripled the network's average rating for viewers ranging in age from 12 to 34.

Explaining her breakdown, Spears said that she had let the wrong people into her life.
