Britney Spears's father, Jamie, has been named permanent conservator of his daughter's affairs, a Los Angeles court ruled on Tuesday. He was also named permanent co-conservator of her estate, along with an attorney, Andrew Wallet.Experts say, however, that the permanent status doesn't necessarily mean forever. "In many cases, it's just a formality to avoid having to renew a temporary status over and over again."
"I've met several times with [Britney] and she requested that I not object to the permanent conservatorship," the singer's court-appointed lawyer Samuel Ingham said in open court.
Sources say this is all a temporary move primarily made to ensure Brit Brit increased time with her boo boos and provide support for her music and work goals.
This situation just makes me hate legal jargon. If "permanent" in this case means "temporary" why can't they just say tentative instead?
