Is This The Final Chapter Of The Grey's Anatomy Drama?

For anyone who doesn't know, I'll get you up to speed.

- There was a fight on the set between Patrick Dempsey (McDreamy) and Isaiah Washington (Preston).
- Reports surfaced that Preston choked McDreamy.
- The National Enquirer leaked a story that Preston called T.R. Knight a "faggot" (i didn't report this story because it came from the Enquirer).
- T.R. Knight came out of the closet as a result of rumors regarding his sexuality.
- It was rumored that Grey's Anatomy execs already auditioned three actors to replace Preston.
- Preston was scheduled to appear on the Ellen Degeneres show today to apologize. He cancelled his appearance.

** Anyway, turns out the National Enquirer was right. Isaiah apologized for his homophobic slur.People reports:

Grey's Anatomy actor Isaiah Washington has issued an apology for his behavior during an on-set argument with costar Patrick Dempsey.

"I sincerely regret my actions and the unfortunate use of words during the recent incident on-set," Washington, 43, says in the statement. "Both are beneath my own personal standards. … I have nothing but respect for my coworkers … and have apologized personally to everyone involved."

Fallout from the turmoil has sparked rumors that Washington would be fired. Show creator, Shonda Rhimes said, "I found (those rumors) not only ridiculous but offensive that we would consider replacing a member of our family," Rhimes tells PEOPLE.

"And also the (idea) that one black man was interchangeable with another seemed disturbing to me."

On Tuesday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Grey's costar Katherine Heigl played down the incident, calling it "some scuffle … There was a little burst of testosterone in the room, and then within five minutes ... they were totally fine."

I was not happy to hear that Isaiah's an asshole and I was pissed to hear that producers would eff with the cast. I like the man candy as is on the show. Let's hope the real life drama is finally over.
