Kanye West Is Engaged

That's right fans and groupies, People reports:

Rapper and producer Kanye West is engaged, several sources have confirmed to PEOPLE exclusively.

West, 29, proposed to his girlfriend, Alexis, while overseas for two weeks recently, sources close to the singer tell PEOPLE.

Alexis, whose last name and occupation were not immediately available, was West's girlfriend prior to his October 2002 car accident, one source says.

Kanye did a real good job of not mentioning his girlfriend in the press! He did an even better job of hiding their romance by making out with Pam Anderson in public right around the time they filmed his "Touch The Sky" video.

I can not wait to see Alexis. This woman is priceless. Who could put up with Kanye, besides Kanye, or his Mama? It was a smart move for Kanye to get engaged, Alexis may be the only woman who doesn't want him for his money and his money alone. Congratulations to Mr. West.
