David After Dentist

Here's the YouTube sensation video David After Dentist. Is this child abuse? What kind of stage father films his drugged innocent 7 year-old son just to get a few hits?

This is my 7 year old son who had an extra tooth removed last summer, 2008. I had the camera because he was so nervous before I wanted him to see before and after.

He was so out of it after, I had to carry him out of the office. The staff was laughing and I had tears it was so funny.

He is doing fine now and the teeth are great.

Best of all he is the best kid as his brother William. I couldnt have asked for two better sons!

Im sorry. Did you both forget how to read. Its very clearly stated that he did it because he was nervous before going in. And David (the kid) thinks its funny. So why dont you both get off your high horses and relax for a little while...

You both need some general anesthesia. How dare you accuse someone like this of child abuse. Please leave your ridiculousness to yourselves, no one else wants to hear it.

you know what's ironic? your banner says "void without a sense of humor"...which would seem to invalidate everything you just wrote.

i think it's really crass to try and shame a parent for sharing the humour of a situation like this. i understand that you're accustomed to dealing with celebrities, but if you can believe it, not everyone who posts something to the internet is an "attention whore." (that label is best reserved for those, among others, who pander to readers by creating controversy where none exists.) for the boy's father isn't exactly positioning himself for a reality show. if you look at people's youtube comments and facebook/myspace/blog reactions, they are overwhelmingly mirthful and positive. people find this clip funny because they uniformly EMPATHISE with the kid, and can relate to being drugged. statistically, maybe one person in a hundred has something derogatory about him, and such comments are quickly and loudly jeered, objected to, and/or thumbed down by the rest of the community. it is very important to understand that all laughter is not equivalent, and that anything can be funny if done right. just because people are laughing at a clip of a child does not mean the child is undergoing some sort of hardship. even now, at seven, he himself would doubtless be entertained (not to mention enlightened) to look back at this clip...which, as was pointed out, is the reason this got filmed in the first place. who WOULDN'T want a video of his first-grade self high as a kite?

indignation is the most dishonest of all emotions. i wish you'd thought about this clip, read comments, etc. before venting your overdetermined, undermotivated, frankly rash judgment.

Your entire website is parasitic and hateful, not to mention hideous to look at. Since spineless defamation is your only game, I guess it's only fair to assume that your sense of humor, such as it is, is simply too spiteful and under-developed to enjoy this video.

Yes it seems 90% of the people on You-Tube find this funny. These are same 90% that love watching kids fall off bikes and skateboards on America's Funniest Home Videos. I think what is bothersome about this is not the actual content but the father's true lack of compassion. Put down the stupid camera and console the child who is actually going through a horrific experience. "is this real?" and "is this forever?" make my heart melt but I find it neither cute nor funny to see.
What I find repulsive is the violence people seem to lash out at others who have an opinion against the majority. When you listen to fools, the mob rules. Keep up the good work!
