Breaking News: Presidential Candidate John Edwards Announces His Wife's Cancer Has Returned

The wife of Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards has a recurrence of her cancer, but her husband's campaign for the presidency will go on, the candidate said Thursday.

“We are very optimistic about this,” Edwards said. “Having been through some struggles in the past, we know the key is to keep your head up and keep moving.”

“We feel incredibly optimistic. I do not expect my life to be significantly different,” Elizabeth Edwards said.

“The campaign goes on,” John Edwards said.

I watched John and his wife give their speeches. Elizabeth is so positive!

Elizabeth's cancer has moved to her bone which means it is "treatable, but not curable." She will have cancer for the rest of her life, but they're very hopeful. I wish them all the best and I'm glad they're not letting this slow them down. The campaign continues.
