Anna Nicole Smith's Cause Of Death Officially Announced

Charlie Tiger, Chief of the Seminole Police Department, just announced there was no evidence of illegal drugs on the day Anna Nicole died and there was no evidence of foul play.
Charlie said it was an accidental overdose.

It was also just announced that Howard K. Stern won't be charged for Anna's murder:
Chief Tiger says Howard Stern will not be prosecuted. Stern's computer was checked and there was no evidence of anything untoward.
Details about the cause of Anna's death were right. Reports from Star and The National Enquirer surfaced last week claiming that before Anna Arrived in Florida, she injected something into her left butt cheek.

The next day, she got very sick and had a 105 fever. She refused to go to the hospital, took some meds and went to bed.

She apparently felt better, ate breakfast and she took a chloral hydrate before going to bed. She then woke up at 10 in the am according to Howard K Stern and he left.

Then at 1:30, a woman found Anna Nicole. She was non-responsive. They found a large abscess in her ass cheek that was causing her pain. They believe the fever was due to a blood infection from using an infected needle. Tests only found methadone in her system. She may have had methadone days before she died. She tested negative for all other drugs.

UPDATE:

- 9 prescriptions drugs found in her blood stream (ativan, valium, benadryl, etc) but all were at therapeutic levels.

- High doses of chlora hydrate were found (metabolites) in her system (these pills are broken down very fast, and this is why they weren't found in the initial autopsy) and the official cause of death is:

Combined drug intoxication. The reaction of the sleeping pills plus the levels of all the therapeutic drugs in her system, is what killed her. Add on a raging flu and a slight infection from the abscess and thus we have Anna Nicole, dead of an accidental overdose.

- Homicide and suicide were considered and nothing points to that. The levels of the drugs were not high enough for an overdose, accidental or otherwise. Was a fluke that the pills she had reacted badly with the sleeping pills she was newly on. No suggested force feeding, and no way to "slip her" the sleeping pills due to the horrid taste.

According to Chief of Seminole police Charlie Tiger:

- No evidence of illegal drugs
- No foul play
- Nothing unusual on security camera tapes from hotel
- Nothing on HKS's or ANS's laptop, but these were the new evidence delaying the autopsy
- Accidental overdose according to Charlie Tiger
- No criminal charges to be laid at this point
