Gay rights leaders have spoken out against the video clip and are urging the Simple Life star to apologise to those offended. It's fair that there's outrage over Parisite's slur, we all know how much shit Isaiah Washington received, but I'm weary of folks apologizing. Apologize for what you meant and still mean? Apologize for the beliefs you're going to continue to hold?!
The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) president Neil Giuliano said: "When Paris Hilton utters these words into a camera, it creates a permanent record that…she must bear responsibility for."
He added: "These are not frivolous words and to use them as if they are gives tacit sanction to the racism and homophobia they engender."
It is time, Mr Giuliano said, for the hotel heiress to: "go on the record, explain herself, and publicly apologize to the LGBT and African American communities and all those offended by these slurs."
I mean, this is Parisite we're talking about here. If she stopped receiving press that would hurt her. I know it's not gonna happen, but an apology coming from Parisite is worth about as much as a Kevin Federline cd on eBay.
The infested socialite is a racist homophobic, and that won't change with an apology. An explanation from Parisite would be better than an empty "I'm sorry."
But then again, my fist to her beak nose would be better than winning a new car. Guess we can't have it all.
